"Son of God" Movie

The movie, "Son of God", that was scheduled to be played tonight has been canceled until next Thursday.

Movie Nights at St. John

When: Sunday March 16th from 5:30pm to 8pm
(Pizza and pop from 5:30 to 6, then movie)
Where: St. John in the fellowship hall for pizza, movie in the sanctuary on the screens
Why: Food, fun, fellowship, and we just might learn more about the Bible- Yeah Bible!!!!

After viewing the Son of God movie, I now know it's the same as the Bible mini-series on the history channel. The movie has less material on the New Testament section than does the DVD. We will watch the entire New Testament section beginning with Mary and the Annunciation through the Passion.

Wednesday Lenten Worship at 6:30 PM

Returning this year are Chancel Dramas, which are costumed portrayals of biblical characters in the life and ministry of Jesus.

This year, you will meet and hear from

• Thomas, the twin, also called “Doubting Thomas,” a disciple of Jesus.

• A Landlord, who rented an upper room to a group of visitors to Jerusalem for the High Holy Days.

• Joseph of Arimathea, the wealthy member of the Sanhedrin which convicted Jesus of blasphemy, and yet offered his family tomb as a burial place for Jesus.

Voices of Peace

Voices of Peace will be with us on Sunday, March 2. They will bring pictures of the Mission trip they took to Alaska last summer. They are planning a return trip the summer and will be collecting Wool socks and coffee. St. John can be a part of this special mission trip.
